My Thoughts

I tend to put the "ew" in new beginnings...

Maybe it sounds cliche, but I'm the type of person to go with the flow, go wherever the wind will take me, feel the wind beneath my feet. It's a very liberating feeling to wake up one day and realize I want to make a change. Before I know it (or any of my friends and family for that matter), I'm out the door with my Chevy Blazer packed to the limit, a crummy map in hand, a Stripes Styrofoam 32oz cup full of good ole Dr. Pepper, and just a small savings to my name.
I don't recommend, nor condone, this type of personality to anyone, but change is my addiction. The feel of the steering wheel in my hands gives me a sense of empowerment, because I know I'm in control of my destiny. The constant low growl of my car's 11 year old engine comforts me with its lullaby of moving far, far away. Watching the scenery change from place to place makes me feel closer to nature, or at least more aware of it.

I'm as free as a bird now. And this bird you can not change.

I'm no gypsy, although I admire those who are. I just like the feeling of change, the surreal aura that glows from new people and new towns. You know that feeling of slight dizziness when you walk into a new shop, and you're surrounded by all that is totally unknown. The curiosity that tingles the back of your eyes and stimulates your mind. It's like the entire new world is surrounded by an atmosphere of serotonin inhibitors and it's just leaking down all over everything. This is my addiction.

If you like what you see, turn off your t.v. and DO IT!!!

Remember that old show "ZOOM" that would appear on PBS after school...

"Come on 'n Zoom. Come on 'n Zoom. Come on 'n Zoomuh, Zoomuh, Zoomuh, Zoom!"
"ZOOM! ZOOM! ZOOM!"

Ah, them good ol' days sitting in front of the tv, eatin' my after school snack (I was a fat kid), watching Zoom, learning how to play leap frog, make a battery out of a potato, and speak Ubbi Dubbi (the official language of Zoom).

Zoom was a very interesting show with it's many techniques of trying to teach children new things after their minds went into shut down at the end of an 8 hour school day. Through out of all this show's many lessons, the only one that stuck in my mind the most was their message to "If you like what you see, turn off your t.v. and DO IT!!!"

This message always intrigued me.

What did they actually mean?
Okay, Okay, we all know what they meant, but what does the message actually put out.
I mean, there's a lot of stuff on television I like.

So, if you like what you see, should you really turn off your tv and do it?

...Maybe you shouldn't...

Oh, and don't forget the infamous Girls Gone Wild commercials they show on public television late at night. This world is naive if they believe all children are tucked away in dream land every night before 12 am. Let's teach our girls to let themselves be harassed to show their breasts and other areas, while only being compensated a t-shirt and a lifetime of guilt. Oh, and let us teach our little boys to degrade women and see them only as sex objects. *sizzle with slight anger and annoyance*

This is a hilarious spoof of the commercial for the new Shake Weight, a new mechanism to tone flabby underarms. Ok, the Shake Weight
isn't technically a bad message, but I'm just a perv...
